Slapped some 'glass onto the floor of the Galaxie so I can drive it without getting gassed. Still need to do some more but ran out of resin. Don't particularly like doing it this way but I want to drive it, not look at it while I work on it.

Last Friday my OT Hot Rod ('69 Plymouth GTX) went down on the way home from a get together of friends at a buddy's shop. For the first time in 18 years it returned home on a flatbed wrecker.

I got it diagnosed Saturday morning and ordered a new MSD 6AL which showed up today. After I got it all wired up I crossed my fingers and hit the key, the ol' 440 lit instantly. I'll still have to put some miles on it to fully restore my confidence, but we'll get there...

Bolted on the vintage moroso deep pan on the 377 . Hammered in the freeze plugs , marked the aluminum heads to drill the steam holes for the 400 block.

Handed out 2 scholarships from our car club at the Seniors award presentation tonight. Two females were the only ones who applied. My daughter and the local NAPA store owners daughter.

Typical day here lately. Sanded, sanded, sanded on the '32. When my fingers ere sore I took a little road trip to look at a '55 Sedan Delivery. Passed on that one. Not bad but a little more work than I want at this time. Want something closer to a driver. Called a few other ads while on the road for a couple of '55 2 door sedans and a '56 2 door sedan. Going to take another road trip to check out the '56 and give my fingertips some time off.

Started my day by standing and staring at my 50 Stude project, kind of mentally planning out my next step, head started to pound a bit so I pulled up a stool, chair , and fired up my tablet and took a look on CL., spotted something interesting, made a call, decided take a little drive , you know to think about the best way to approach the next step on my Stude, grabbed my keys and some cash out of the desk drawer and off I went...I drove..I thought...I drove some more...thought what the hell..then I drove some more, forgetting what I was originally thinking about I returned home with some new thoughts to ponder...like ..did I really need 3 more Studebakers?..well at $750 for all 3 cars ...of course I needed them...then it hit me...I remembered what I started the day thinking about..and that was staying focused and moving forward on the current Stude build best done by not getting involved or side tracked on something else....OOPS..but it was only $750 for 3 cars...
The blue 50 Champion 4dr runs and drive ,when parked.
The yellow 55 was a old hot rod, has fiber glass hood, looks crusty but is actually pretty solid, check out the gauges..was set up for 4spd and v8 of some kind
The 2dr Comander is actually fairly straight with mostly surface rust and missing a few things ..can you say gasser?I know alot of ya can actually to easily...and for everything.. both bullet nose cars are missing there noses.
    Well I got some more thinking to do. 20190515_131114.jpeg 15579340753701762783204470718543.jpeg 20190515_131005.jpeg 15579342104686201852732518663090.jpeg 20190515_130931.jpeg 20190515_131010.jpeg 20190515_130805.jpeg 20190515_131102.jpeg 20190515_130939.jpeg 20190515_131051.jpeg 20190515_131018(0).jpeg 20190515_131104.jpeg

  23. Worked on the 55 a bit. seen I needed a gasket for the nine inch. So I went to Thayer Mo and got a load of feed. and stopped at O rilleys and paid $8 for a 9 inch housing gasket. then when I got home I had a facebook message and a guy came and bought a NP 365 trans and 202 transfer case. Then I changed the oil in Debbies car. it had over 5000 miles on the oil.
