    For those who do not normally deal with 'teens carburetors, the text describes a Stromberg type G air-valve carburetor, and refers to the cut-a-way in figure 8.

    The carburetor in the cut-a-way (figure 8) is a Stromberg type M (one can see the M-3 on the casting) which is a plain tube carburetor.

    This reference is in a U.S. Army training manual on ignition and carburetion printed in 1923.
