Made a little progress today. I picked up Granada rear end today and I have some more questions.
    1. What is the part that connects the brake lines and the vent called?
    2. How do I get a rounded, rusted drain plug out?
    3. If I turn the pinion about two and a half or so turns, is it safe to assume that I have about that ratio?

It's just the rear hose. The vent nipple comes out and the hose will come off seeing how the nipple is just a hollow through bolt. Get a rear brake hose from a 70's f100/150 2 wd because they are about the longest factory rear hose of that configuration. That rear is probably a 2.79 ratio.

The car is too low to get a good picture right now bit I can try and describe it? I took just a flat plate that bolts to the bottom of the x member then welded a peice of square tubing to the top side for a sort of spacer. With a hole cut in the middle of the bottom plate to reach the trans mount stud. I'm using an S10 tailshaft so the mount only has one mount stud on the bottom. I'll try and get the car up soon to get a pic.

  9. For the drain plug, I welded a bolt into the plug on mine.. Easy to grip with a socket and ratchet, then. Once you get the first turn, it comes out fine. Just replace with a new plug. The little bit of heat from the welding also helped break the rust "bite"

Finally got the trunk off. The toolbox area is pretty rough but a lot of good sheet metal in the car. Found some shiny bits and window trim. IMG_20190428_121401849_HDR.jpeg IMG_20190428_121456600.jpeg

Doing some thinking out loud about how to do the floors, and here's some ideas I came up with floor1a.JPG cut close to where the replacement panel company has theirs cut
    floor2a.JPG
remove spot welds under toe board
    floor3b.JPG
This one can go a lot of ways, but if I can maybe I can patch the seating area and just cut along the red line. The trunk area is rough on both cars so I may just cut that out entirely and replace that.

CE plate and 2" radius rod ball drop on my 48 2dr sedan. I fitted for either BW T10 or Tremec T170FT....T5 should be no problem at all. You'll need to make sure you have a straight shot for the speedo cable....make a hole in the X member. FB_IMG_1557841383252.jpeg

  20. I kept the flap from a shackle kit, marked Flagg Suspension Products part # FS771. I think it was from the CE kit I used. It was also marked, S18861. Try those part numbers in a Google search, see what comes up.

This is what chassis engineering sells.you may be able to cross reference them to another brand if you want to buy them locally. 20150728_174653.jpg 20150728_174528.jpg

I got the bushings put in my spindles and thought I'd try reaming them at work..... They're sitting in the shop waiting to get new bushings and machined professionally.
On the bright side I got the old suspension out for the new one... Working smarter this time IMG_20190524_184113701.jpeg

Got the new cross member in. Couldn't get my giant meat hooks back there to hold the nuts and washers in place so I super glued the washers to the nuts.
This is what I get for buying u bolts from a place that deals in heavy equipment IMG_20190526_094400772.jpeg IMG_20190526_094411255.jpeg
