Motion Pictures Hollywood Knights 57 Chevy info

Hey guys, looking for some info on a logo used on the car in the movie. I took a screenshot of the movie which shows the logo. I just can't make out what it is. I thought it was an isky cam logo version but it was not. Any ideas or better yet images of what this is would be greatly appreciated. I need it for a project I am working on. Thanks all!

 

Car looks like "Project X" from Popular Hotrodding magazine....

 

It is Project X.

 

At first I thought it was a Schifer flywheel sticker but it's not.
I have a special edition mag that's completely Project X, lemme see if I can find it, it might show the decal.

If you watch the movie carefully, you can catch when the engine grenaded in Project X

 

Thanks guys. Been thru the other forum posts about X but nothing about the logo. If you watch the movie at the end they are talking next to the car and on the driver side back window there is a B&M shifter but in other shots it is not there. Just something I noticed.

One other question I have. From what I can gather itr used a small block chevy but some have said it was a big block. Most images I have seen on the build of this car are a small block but nothing in the movie shows the engine to tell.

 

Project X had a few different engine setups, but at movie time it had a blown small-block that went boom during filming

 

Found the magazine, it's just a collection of all previous articles. I have vol 1, don't know how many followed, and it looks to have all the 60's articles in it. There's a pic of the car on the strip with the same decal so I found a listing of all the parts used up to that time and did a search of each name and their decals/stickers. Came up empty.

I've watched this movie MANY times however I did not know the engine in the 57 let loose. About where/when in the movie did it blow?

 

i thought the blow off opened on it when it was running the ac cobra, did't know it blew.

 

I have a buddy that argues about the engine blowing up story every time it comes up...He says he read something that one of the PHR guys wrote that said the blower pulley came off and destroyed the rad, thats why you see all the steam going over the top of the car....

 

Around .43 the smoke/ vapor starts and it slows down

 

Mine's all black and white too except for the front cover, back cover is just white. I don't remember when I got it, late 80s?

 

That would be five penises.

 

Never heard it blew the engine, heard it blew off the upper hose and maybe a head gasket issue. Tony Danza did take a few clutches out while filming. Said he never did learn to drive the clutch.

Great stuff fellas! The pic of Tony by the car is great! I saw that in a video montage and was looking for that one. I have not figured out the logo. It's a tough one for sure. Keep the info coming guys!

I bought those 2 volumes as copies from PHR way, way back. Still have them.

 

So I guess my buddy Butch is Half right about the pulley into the rad story...

 

What about the "Hollywood Knights" soundtrack album cover, well it doesn't have a picture of the 57 , butt it does have this "ASS" shot...
