Looking for a skilled specialist to narrow a Mopar 8.75 axle housing. Have a 68 B-body housing that needs to become A-body sized and have new spring perches welded on. If you know of someone here or can recommend a reliable outfit that can do this please let me know. Thanks for reading this far, Paul
Have you considered buying your own housing jig? Really not too expensive , I think I paid about $400 for mine several years ago. If you can use a tape measure and a porta band or similar saw you can jig it up yourself. You can either buy new housing ends or reuse the old one's after you chamfer for the welds. If you don't feel comfortable welding it you can take it to a welder . It's not rocket science for sure
The only Mopar jig stuff I have is Dana 60, and just the center pucks. I will make some calls tomorrow.
Yes I have and am considering it. I was looking at Summit's set-up. Trying to avoid buying more tools that I would possibly only use once.
Just wanted to say 68 B-body cars are known to be by there self on a lot of parts you might want to check it out that rear end could be worth a good price, I know me and a buddy are doing a 68 Super B and are having trouble finding some parts, found out that the bubble hood they had could be worth up to 5000.00 dollars. You may want to find a different rear end to cut up. Just a help full hint as to some Mopar parts.
