I started building this 34 Ford beater road tractor from scrap parts about 20 years ago and finally found head lights for it today, ordered some correct rims and tires for it today and have almost all the parts to build a nicer version.

Plan on spending a LOT of time on it once you start assembly. It goes together nice, but there's definitely some time involved fitting all the trim.
Beware of the fit of the interior tub up inside the body. The dash wants to hit the windshield, and the door sides want to hit the vent window glass. A little extra trimming ahead will save having to get the dremel out like I did. LOL It all fits fine until the windshield glass is in.

A friend that I don't get to see much stopped in for a visit a couple of weeks ago , it was very late night or very early morning, but all was ok because he also had a gift for me,This Weird - oh model, I started working on it that morning.
I always wanted one as a kid but just never got one so I went to work on this one and finished it ... then it got me thinking and I realized that this is the first model that I have built , and finished, box stock with no modifications, since I was around 14 yrs old, almost 45 yrs ago, I think the last ones that I did box stock was the Pink Panther, the Milk Wagon , and the Beer Wagon and they were later destroyed by my little brother in one of our BB gun wars..that's how we used to settle our differences, we would shoot each others models until one of us give in.
It all came to a stop when our mother discovered the BB holes in the wall of our shared bedroom...we are much better now , we have no issues and often give each other cars or parts with no bullet holes in them. 20190504_234549.jpeg 20190505_001411.jpeg 20190504_233102(0).jpeg 20190504_233935.jpeg 20190504_232918.jpeg 20190504_232309.jpeg 20190504_122352.jpeg

I have these models that I started building in the 60's after graduating from plastic model airplanes. I kept building off and on up into the 80's. A few are ones that were given to me already built by guys that outgrew that hobby. The last one I started but never finished was the 'Big Duece'. Family and more time building full size rods made me put it aside. I have had some of the better ones on display over the years and most stored away. Got to start down sizing so I dug them all out today. Didn't want to throw they away and had been looking for a solution. I talked to a guy that was set up at the Pate swap meet the other day that deals in built models and kits and he expressed interest in getting them. Turns out he only lives a few miles from me. Some of them are falling apart due to the glue deteriorating. Started out brush painting and eventually discovered spray paint. Those early ones are pretty crudely done but in a kids eyes they were really cool "customized" cars. Thought that I would put pics on here before they go away. Got a few new ones that have never opened and boxes of extra parts and pieces. Sure was fun! 0508191734.jpg 0508191734a.jpg 0508191734b.jpg
