Yesterday a friend sent me this photo from the 1966 NHRA NATIONALS at Indianapolis. I have never seen this one before...the confused looking guy sitting on the hood of the push car is a very young ME! Hard to believe it was 53 years ago.

My car from a couple weekends ago. It’s a drag car when it’s at the track, the rest of the time it’s my kid’s school bus, my daily transportation, and date night cruiser

That’s at Barona . Combo makes about 340hp at the crank and the car runs the 1/8 at 8.35 @ 83.9. It should be capable of around 8 flat with a beefier 4 speed that can handle higher launch rpm and power shifting. It’s got a wimpy 1963 m20 currently bc that was the least broken one I had at the time. Surprised it’s still in one piece!

  28. Noel Black's Motion I LSR streamliner with the body on. The car was run at the drags without the body in an attempt to generate some sponsor money for a land speed record attempt. Following a 400+ pass, a second run was underway when the car lost part of the belly pan which resulted in a crash that took Noel's life. The car certainly had the potential to set the land speed record over 400mph.

Nope! Definitely Snake as I checked his helmet graphics from his time in the Hawaiian.
