    Here's chopolds response:

"He's got a real talent for Photoshop! Thanks for requesting it! It looks great! Not sure if it's got the 1 1/2" chop done to it? hard to tell. Mine will also have factory type skirts (found a set of NOS Foxcraft's at Carlisle), wide whites, and 55 Olds caps.

Considering colors, since I like to paint, I've got a whole slew of possibilities! Dark Purple and Lilac Pearl, Pale Pink Pearl and (Candy?) Burgundy, Turquoise and black, Copper metallic and cream. Want a 50's type vibe with the colors, but using modern versions."

I, for one, am against the chop on this particular build, but it's his car.

Dreaming about a future project. Can you take a couple inches out of the roof, lower the fins a couple inches, and maybe see what a skirt that flows with the lower body line looks like? Very much appreciated as this will be a large job to tackle and I need the motivation to muster the courage to start morphing my two cars to build one more 55 Caddy wagon. [IMG]

Awesome. May have to go just a tad more subtle on the chop to get things to where it is in my minds eye. It gets a little too long looking this way. Or maybe no chop at all. I don’t know. This definitely gets me thinking though. Now I just need to get the two or three cars between getting it in the shop and where I’m at now done.

  6. OK another version...

I think the biggest issue with this study I had would be the disturbance of the flow on the B-pillar and the bullet shape side trim...

  13. I totally agree with this. The side trim really jars against the pillar.

  14. I did it the way that I depicted because that's what the guy who is building it in the real world wanted to see. Personal I don't think it looks too bad at all.

Here's my take on the 1956 Olds 98 Nomad.
I replaced the '56 98 trim with modified 1955 Olds 98 stainless. I moved the trim rearward to coordinate with Nomad B-pillar. This keeps the Oldsmobile theme going and plays off against the sweetheart dip, too.

Here's an alternate color combo - Lilac and Lavender, a bit more custom.

    A little off the top.
I do know it's not a Olds , I just thought I saw something earlier about mention of a chopped top. 15578831821383756313372278653881.jpeg

Can somebody please help me out with a couple of photo shop pic's of a new half hood for my T project.
The air cleaners will protrude thru the hood.
I am having trouble loading pic's but will retry in the next post.

    Try again...
The thermostat housings will clear, but there will need to be a cut out for the radiator water recovery tube.
I'm not familiar with this photo shop process, so have offered an array of pic's to choose from that may best work.

    Thanks.

Thanks for that madfish, I'm figuring I need to get you another pic a little further back.
I think I need to see it in a greater relationship to the cowl etc.
I also realise now that maybe I need to get those two air cleaners sitting at the same level.
If you are in the mood while get another pic, do you feel like doing the same for the opposite side please...

Please put your magic on it,

( and trade door handles from side to side, no more sagging )

Thanks madfish, the 2nd pic looks a lot more to my liking.
I can live with that for sure.
All I need to do now, is make it...
