Technical Column wiring

    Boden

    My steering column is almost completely wired. There is one black wire coming out at the very end of the column at the steering box. What could this wire be?

  2. Horn wire if it's a original column with the steering box attached. HRP

    Oh yea. That's what I thought but wasn't sure. It's out of a 1953 ford customline. But now that I think about it. I remember it being unplugged and I remember the horn working.

    Lots of original horn wires that ran through the steering column were modified. Many had issues after they got old enough the insulation started breaking off the wire. Gene
