Hi all, Please see diagram attached. Sorry for the poor quality. My (silly) question is: If the chassis isn’t running horizontal or is stepped should the leaf spring eyes still be inline with each other (like diagram B)? Many thanks, Ross Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
B will give better spring action/ride being able to absorb/flex for road irregularity's and fact "C" would even be a little better [rear eye lower than front eye] but A or C difference from B would have to be alot..Couple inches not a worry..
Thank you. If the difference between the eyes is within 2” we should be ok then? Sent from my iPhone using H.A.M.B.
We never mount the front spring Eye higher than the center of the rear axle. You get less spring wrap up this way. The factory does it this way. Picture .. B.. Works well on a trailer where the axle is not trying rotate up.
