Hey fellas, Have you ever seen HEMI Valve covers like these? Notice the upside down lower case m in Power? I believe these to be very early production, I have 2 1951 Chrysler HEMI's but only one has this style covers. The other has the normal W. I have only seen one other pair of these covers in an old HotRod magazine. The guy I spoke to at Hot Heads had never seen them... I'd heard IMPERIAL covers were one year only, but I've seen several of them... Could these be the Rarest of the early HEMI valve covers? Any info would be greatly appreciated!
I think the rarest hemi valve covers were stamped INVADER, as used on WW 2 army tanks. I know some one that has 2 pair of them, but they aren't for sale.
Nickthebandit, do you think you could get a picture of those INVADER covers? I'm sure everyone here would like to see them! I had never heard of Hemis being used in tanks, if they were WW2 I guess they would be the prototype for the post war production engine???
The person that has the valve covers lives in Maine, he is also a not very sociable person.. I now live in Pennsylvania. Too far to commute. I haven't heard from him for about 3 years now.
Have a set of dimpled covers with the upside down “m” on the 354 in our ‘37. I never noticed the “m” until now, though.
Hey Sammich! Thanks for posting the picture! That makes 3 sets of "m" covers I've seen! Haha Funny how you can look at an object for years and never notice... Now you have something cool to point out at the cruise nights this summer!
...Maybe the very first set said Chrysler Fire Pomer...and a quick fix was initiated... Sometimes fonts have unusual details...it would be interesting to know if the diemaker flipped the 'm' over and forgot to mod that out making the master.

Stogy that makes set #5! Haha That engine must be a very early style as well, it has a lower water inlet the same as my pomer. The later ones (such as my second engine) have a transmission cooler built in. Both of them had "clutch flights" such a weird setup with the clutch/fluid coupler but both are of a very different design...
