attendance was down. I guess folks believed the weather guy. And the Redneck Rumble was also going on in Lebanon. A few nice rods. Very few customs.
I know SBCs have been done to death but this one looked great. First time I have ever seen a pinstriped blower belt
The show was also flipped. The show cars parked on the opposite side of the stadium where spectators usually park. Most of that was empty. The swap meet was almost non existent
Looks like quality vs. quantity. The striped belt was a biker build off thing, but it's still neat. Thanks for the photos!
I will say that the Goodguys hot rod of the year competition has caused some very nice builds to show up to Nashville. They are all driven, don’t know if they were drag raced this year but some of these cars had tire bits from burn outs and all had road residue from cruising the country side. These pics are from the GG fb page. They have had a nice assortment of engines. Flat heads, Ardun, NailHeads, Olds, FEs, Hemis,
There were three guys from Grand Island drove to Nashville for the show. It will be interesting to see what they say about the show, especially Larry, he is the Nebraska GG rep
Great shots--really like the 36 3 window with what appears to be a blown ardun. Any info about it? Thanks It looks like one recently built here in NorCal-wheels, engine etc look the same.
Nope. It was a quality build. There were 3 Arduns there. I really liked the gold 5w with the nailhead.
Thanks for sharing. Those are some nice cars. I think the too many shows going on in the same area on the same weekend or even on successive weekends has hurt attendance at a lot of events. Guys either have to choose which event they go to on a particular weekend or choose which event the monthly rodding budget allows if there are two big events one weekend after the other. Good for the "lets do a road trip to that area" guys who can hit a couple of events in successive weekends though.
Thanks. I noticed that it looked like the same folks had a couple of cars in the hot rod competition Both looked great
The 36 won Roseville Rod and Custom are the builders. Photo from Fuel Curve. They claim they will have a spread on It tomorrow
