After years of being project free, I finally have one. I purchased a 1930 Ford Model A Tudor. This gem lacks motor and trans, and steering, and interior, and...but is equipped with a decent body with a rough 4.5" chop. It was love at first sight.

The basic plan so far is dropped solid axle front end, Ford 8" rear with a SB and 5 speed. I want it low and raked with the fenders. Steel wheels and hub caps with big and lil's.I want a reliable driver first and will then work on the beautification.

Still developing a plan and parts list but very excited to begin. Most questions I have the HAMB has provided an answer. I will be asking many more as the project gets under way. If you missed my intro, this car was owned by the founder of Atari, yeah, the video game company. He purchased it in Utah at age 14 in 1957. Drove while in high school and sold in 1961. Hoping to fill in the gaps from then until my purchase in Sacramento CA. Here are some pics as purchased and then me mocking up ride height. I am loving the look.

I like it. The chop & stance is perfect. I would leave it full fendered. It has a good aggressive look.

And oddly enough, only one side splash apron is louvered.

Order yourself a new frame so it can sit right, steer right, and stop right.
Congrats on your new project looks cool with the chop.
Deep marron paint job with yellow flames. Sweeet.
