Yes once again its 426 day. The day mother mopar sets aside as the official day of celebration for all things mopar hemi related. This day is not limited to second gen only. It's for all chrysler hemis. I plan on marking the day with a pair of stripes 12 inches wide on a few streets. Happy birthday hemi.
I like that shot of the ram on the door of that car coming out of the hole! I hope the Hemi day is a good omen. I sent one marine 331 down the road yesterday. Today I am stripping a 392 in order to send it to a machine shop for rebuilding. The motor has a roller set up and I have been told that it has other internal mods as well. I cannot verify this until the heads and oil pan come off. I do plan to use all of the existing parts that can be reasonably saved. Definitely the roller cam set up, which appears to be in excellent condition. Also the 6x2 intake that was on it as raced. (in a 17ft flat bottom boat). I have had all my conservative OLD, as am I buddies tell me different. Air condition, automatic say they. To hell with that! This may be my last shot at this stuff. I dont give a damn for mediocrity. I intent to let the 4 speed, muticarb, solid lifter Hemi roar! a good hemi day indeed.
