I definitely can't forget the Paxton; it's sitting in my garage.

I think ford missed this one, very custom looking and elegant also. Should have built it.

1956 Cadillac Maharani featured recessed toaster, folding table, hot-plate, cutlery tray, cooling unit (the compressor is in the trunk), coffee and water dispensers and a flip-out table; in addition the appointments include a small safe and a safety deposit box; outside color is burgundy/maroon, upholstery is snake skin and a satin print, carpeting is mouton fur.

Although it looks like a customized C3 Corvette it was actually built on Tempest running gear and pre dated the 'vette by 4 years. I guess that the Tempest platform is the reason that the hood bulge is much further forward that it would have been on a Corvette. Also note the Opel GT style headlights. The roof was also a reverse "hatchback" latched to the windshield header and hinged at the trailing edge

The original styling mock up indicates that this was a Corvette concept from the start (even though the hood line is impossibly low even for a Corvette with the engine well back relative to the front axle)
