Well the only good thing is they (or you) caught it in time and nothing worse happened.

  6. 34axleNbrakes.jpg Hey Jim....got my 34 torn down for wheel bearing and brakes in your honor. While I'm working on it I'm thinking of you because I know you can't do this kinda stuff yet. You'll be back.

Jim, it sounds like this is a situation where being unwanted is a good thing.

Jim my prayers are with you. My girl friend had the aortic valve replaced in her heart last November. It's amazing what modern medicine can do. She feels much better now. Just listen to the doctors, everything will work out ok

Didn't know you were sick, Jim. Just saw.
So you built your Willys with the heart condition. Boy-oh-boy. When you were nearly finished with it, I remember you saying something to the effect of, "Man...building a car takes a long time." Seems that you were feeling your diminished physical ability. When you said it, I actually had a fleeting thought that I hoped there was nothing wrong. But obviously there was.
Well...you don't know me, but I admire your work and your tenacity. You're an inspiration to all of us. I wish for you the very best and a speedy recovery. But as others said, do what the doctors say. Don't push yourself too much. I don't think I actually even have to say that...your body will let you know when to sit your ass down...lol.
God bless you, Jim. Your loved ones too.
Looking forward to having you back with us.

Yea doctors are amazing. Think about it, they know as much about the human heart as we do about rusty junk. Now i just sit patiently and wait for my re-build.

    Just checking in....

  22. Jim, waiting is the worst I am sure. I went in for a stent on a Friday and had a five way bypass Monday morning so it was a whirlwind affair and never left the hospital until the following Friday. Recovery was pretty quick and I was back being normal in about three months following rehab. That was ten years ago and I hardly ever look back. Wished you didn't have to wait till the 29th but in the end it will all be worth it. Will be sending good thoughts your way, hang in there fella.

FD9C9498-A706-43E1-BB78-4DBA1AAC61C5.jpeg Just waiting for surgery. 29th is the big day. Complete heart rebuild, valves, aorta... the works. While im waiting i stitched this together. Not allowed to lift anything or work too hard, but they didnt say anything about welding junk together all day. I figure from here i can do some light brake lines and wiring within a month of my cut date, who knows maybe ill drive it this year.
