You have to come down to the car show in Baston in July.
I’ll have my 40 Coupe there as I doubt very much this will be done this year

  3. 111.JPG Hi JezC and 40 Coupe, I have just moved to Old Leake, Boston. I am building a 35Ford pickup. It is at my son's place at the moment ( Just having a garage built). As soon as it is built I can get on with the truck. Meanwhile, what and where is the meet at Baston? We will probably come in Irene's Carson topped V8 Minor. (Not HAMB friendly).
    Cheers guys
    Charlie.

Bloody handy working full time nights. Get to work on the car most days for a few hours.
Floor/firewall nearly finished, working steering, brake booster/pedal mounted, headlights mounted.
Rolled it out the garage for it to see the light of day.

  14. Looking good! Are your floor panels in permanently? If not, I have a bead roller and you are welcome to come and use it. Just draw a design and we can roll it out. The fact that you are on perm. nights is handy, as I am retired and am here all the time. Just let me know if I can help.

    Hi Charlie

I did mate yeh. Not too sure if they’ll need bead rolling as there is lot of support for the panels and it also keeps the floor flat.

  18. That's cool mate. Just let me know if you change your mind. Looking good !! Got the builder in today clearing the site for the new garage. YIPPEE!!

Really moving right along, nice work on the floor and trans hump! looks great rolled outside. Where are you planning on putting a gas tank, in that trunk crevice where the frame kick up/ coilover mounts are? I don't know what you are planning for a floor covering, but some simple bead rolling can really add a lot aesthetically, regardless if you need the extra rigidity or not.
Keep up the progress, and nice looking '40!

Planning to put the fuel tank on the top. The floor is all going to be powder coated body colour. Then maybe sound deadened and a simple carpet. Undecided as yet.

The 40 is going to be radically redesigned if it doesn’t sell. Starting with a 500bhp 383ci stroker
