Vintage shots from days gone by!

Bob Muravez (allias Floyd Lippencotte Jr.) taking some time off from driving the "Freight Train" and the "Pulsator" dragsters, in the seat of Don "The Beachcomber" Johnson's fuler at Pomona. I remember driving up to Las Vegas with Bob and this digger for a big race, a race he won if my memory is correct...

 

Yep! I already did...

 

I remember those cars, the Canadian Pontiacs were built on Chev frames and had either small block (283) or big block 348/409 chev engines installed.
We used to have a lot of trouble at race tracks in the USA getting them classified into the right class, NHRA

 

6 tires wide x 11 deep x 3 long at 25 pounds per tire.
By my "guestimate" he has about 5000 pounds of tires in the bed.
No wonder that right/rear complained.

 

Wow! Does anybody recognize this one? Super cool.

 

Musta' been that Harvey Wallbanger guy - there's NO WINGS on the plane, probably knocked them off hitting "something."

The movie was The Lively Set. Had to run down to my video vault and check.

 

After we drove our special brother Irving way out into the country to take our picture, we then drove off leaving him to start his new life...

 

I just go where I'm Towed.

 

All together now...

 

Not to mention his fat butt that broke the camels back.
