I heard an early franklin 12 spline rear can use a carriar from a 3/4 ton truck to make it an open rear. What year truck are they refering to.

  2. It is a Timmken rear used in Ford and Studebaker 3/4 ton trucks

    Late 30's-early 50's Fords
I am not sure what year Studes

38-52 Ford 3/4 ton carrier will work. I've done it. Worthington Tractor carriers work also. Used one of those when building my 32 using a Frankland rear.

The carrier I found for my Frankland is a 3/4 ton Ford, ten spline. Axles cut to fit by Dutchman. Works great.
