  2. Looks more like a 1928 REO to me.....or something similar to a late 20s car, not a 1930. The instruments look like Chevrolet to me, also.

Is it an all steel body, or is the structure/frame wood? At 1st look it appears to be a buick but the motor looks closer to a Continental that were power plant for Essex and Dodge Brother.

its not boxy enough to be an essex, and the essex came out with a piano lid type door hinge that could take the whole weight of the car, but that engine sure does look at home in that chassis.

  7. Dash is not like what I've seen in 1929-1930 Mopars.

I see a tag on the side of the engine - any info left on there? Even just the stamped number will help.

Same with the tag on the distributor. Post that info, or PM it to me, I have an early electrical catalog I may be able to look that up in.

  9. Good job! I think you got it right.

  10. I thought that this was ID'd already as a late 20's Studebaker?

  12. No cowl vent on the Studebaker. It is definitely NOT a MoPar.

  13. "Embedded in the dashboard of every Jewett was an amulet, visible on the Passenger side as a dashplate. Harry's wife was something of a spiritualist, and these amulets were purported to have mystical power that protected the occupants."

I think you may be right.

The engine is without a doubt a Ferro, and they were used in Jewetts.

Les, is that car still around? I've got three 1925 Jewetts and that car is definitely a 25 Jewett. Please contact me if there are parts available.

I really like the custom traffic light viewer! I bet the original owner put that in when the county seat got its first light!

I bet that steering wheel would look nice if restored.
