Set the seat in it to see how it looks. IMO it turned out great. 20180403_172908.jpg

In the meantime, after selling my riviera, I decided that I want to run a hilborn 4 port injection setup converted to efi. Nick Smithberg has been on the task to help me out again with the injector plate and linkage. received_1686632561426217.jpeg received_1686632561426217.jpeg received_1686634234759383.jpeg received_1686632561426217.jpeg received_1686634234759383.jpeg received_1697458423676964.jpeg received_1768654703224002 (1).jpeg received_1768654806557325 (1).jpeg

While taboo here, my 6-71 huffed 354 will be going in that direction, when the rest of the car is done.

Gimpy I'd be interested in seeing the progress of your setup. This is all new to me, but I've surround myself with people smarter/better skill set than myself. As for being taboo, I'm not sure it is that taboo, as there are some high profile hot rods posted on here that are running hilborn efi. They don't seem to catch much flak.

Mine mostly focuses around a plate that goes under the throttle body, keeping the injector bodies out sight, and out of the sun, while incorporating a wire chase, and internal fuel log.

So far, it is sketched on paper, and partially done in Solidworks.

My job is killing my free time these days.

I could make you a plate like this one Gimpyshotrods. I had some customers stop by this weekend looking at it and they didn't even notice it was EFI.

engine turned my copper dash. not a perfect job, but not terrible for my first time. I used a 3/4" dowel and some rubbing compound. Cratex and a mill probably would have produced better results.

When I finally got my engine back from the machine shop I couldn't help myself, had to mock it up with the blower on it. 20190308_134046.jpeg 20190309_101248.jpeg

It's great to have friends that'll drive 700 miles out for a long weekend just to help you thrash on your hot rod. HUGE thanks to Adam, Bill, Jeff and Greg for helping me get it this far. The least I could do was take them out for steaks afterwards. 20190313_214905.jpeg 20190315_224208.jpeg 20190315_224226.jpeg 20190316_231047.jpeg 6612.jpeg

  19. Wow, nice coupe. I prefer the chrome FirePower valve covers over the Obrian truckers but damn near perfect rod otherwise.

Ty. Chrome ones wouldn't work without spacers and new spark plug tubes because of the head studs and rocker stands. I was planning on running the OEM ones.
