Technical E.T. 5 spokes on banjo rear?

Hello, wanting to put some vintage ETs on my 40 Ford rear and wondering if there’s any clearance issues before I buy them. Is center hole big enough? Thanks for any info!

 

Not many 5 1/2 bolt pattern wheels to be found. Center hole will probably be a problem.

 

Went to my friends today with a rear hub and they clear, just barely. One piece E.T.s. And whaddaya know, my friends a polisher and cleaned them up real good. Now to decide white wall slicks or black wall.

 

Those look to be small Ford 4.5" pattern, won't fit original banjo without an adapter.

 

5 on 5 actually, but at the machinist now and will be 5 on 5 1/2 in a couple days.

 

I would have thought for sure 4.5 or 4 3/4. Very nice wheels.

 

Black tires will show them off better.

 

I for one love me some chrome slots
But these will definitely suit the coupe a little better and rough cast always look good.

Greetings Deescott!..is your machinists going to Weld up the original holes and redrill?

 

I’m trying a different machinist this time that specializes in changing lug patterns and he puts a tapered sleeve in a new hole that will take a regular lug nut. Hoping it doesn’t look funny. I’ll post a pic when I get them.

 

I changed the bolt pattern on some cragar's recently. Made some 6061 slugs with .0015 press fit with green loctite, and redrilled new pattern with fixture. The offset washer covers most of the evidence.
