Bill Kendall represented the SDRA crowd at the first Slant 6 race of the 2019 season at MoKan dragway this past weekend. Thanks for representing Bill!
Nice that you guys are getting around. I used to be on the slant six site . They're a bunch of crazy guys, in a good way. 11.42 is an impressive number.
That's a very impressive number. What modifications have been done and is that an auto or manual gearbox?
I wasn't there to see the car myself. SDRA would make it an automatic. I looked at the printout again. He ran 11.61 @ 112 MPH and cut a .0150 light.
I just received my registration for this site. Great site! My car (42) has a slant 6, bored .120 (238 Cu in.) and has Ross pistons calculated for 13/1 compression. Cam from Hughes engines. Holley 4 brl on an Offenhauser manifold. 11.61 was not my best time of the day but I don't have my slip here at work. I ran against a car that was 8 seconds slower and that caused me to have a poor start. I know Excuses Excuses. I will get my slip so I don't tell any lies.
Jeff Kendall (Bill’s son) is now representing with his Slant 6 powered SDRA. He's leading the points race by winning at MoKan and earning more points at Knoxville. He also set the open AA/Gas 1/8 mile record and plans to submit his time slips from the MoKan race to re-set the 1/4 mile record. He said he was running 11.20s at MoKan. Fun stuff!!
