Technical Anybody recognize this quarter panel?

    Someone gave me this quarter with a bunch of other random parts. Damn solid piece but I don't have a clue what it fits.

  2. Pretty sure it's not a Ford. Seems to have a MoPar feel to it to me, but what do I know?:confused:........Like Early 40's Plymouth maybe. I'm probably so wrong, but at least I gave you a bump so more visionary folks will see it.:D

  3. Early 40's Mercury? Not a lot of cars of this era seem to have a decklid that fits down into the quarter panel this way. Even the side molding holes seem about right.

    Looks like 39-40 Mercury coupe, thank you ClayMart, Good eye!

  6. Yep. It's even got the notch at the back of the panel for the bumper bracket. Started out looking at old MoPars but that's when I saw the difference in how the trunk lid fit. GM, Nash and Studebaker stuff turned up nothing and then I stumbled into the Mercs. That panel has to be worth a bit if you can find the right customer.
