Multi Carb intakes for small block Fords?

Shelby offered several intakes but I don't think they offered a cross-ram intake. The Edelbrock X-F8 is probably what you were looking at. Looks cool but they don't make as much power as a modern 4V intake and carb combo.

I know Grant has the Six Shooter set up for Ford and you missed a sbf cross ram intake here about month 1/2 ago . Didn't sell it here so it went on Ebay . I have seen the cross rams a few times on Ebay . Would love to have one but can't afford one . I do have a chance to get a Shelby 2x4 intake in a trade but waiting for Christmas to get over to see what the guy wants to do . He only want $200 for the intake . We'll see .

This setup uses 3 Motocraft 2100"s and came from PONY CARBS, Las Cruses, NM.

Several designs were offered, by your friendly local Ford Dealer as parts included in Cobra Kits.

 

I found this old thread while looking form something else. I collect odd intakes and have a few sbf obsolete intakes along with collecting general info on Ford intakes so we'll see if we can put some life in this thread.

Barry Grant, now obsolete, made a few sbf intake manifolds.









I have the single 4 version. Same intake, they just had different tops.

Offy tunner ram with multi carb top


An Edelbrock FX 8 that has been converted to 6 two barrels. I read these were made by Man-a-Fre




The regular Man-A-Fre for a sbf.




This is an efi intake with an adapter plate.


Of course a tri power.

Another XF 8 converted to webers. I have seen two of these.


Obviously not a carb Hamb friendly intake but this is an obsolete Edelbrock Pro Flo intake. I have one of these as well.

 

I didn't know this thread existed. I've posted this in another thread, but it deserves to go in this one too. A local So Cal guy has this intake on a SBF in his 30 coupe
