LB for a injected Vette that to some needs no explanation, I for one would like someone to explain who this is and where and when it occurred. With the injection and the large tires and stance this car is flat out cool.

Does it say B/G on the side window? Cool, for sure.

Doug it may very well say that and with the slicks and down stance it tells me it was 68 or after when a number of these injected Vettes ran in gas-quite a few in both B/G and D/G. Something about those large front tires that I like.
Hard to emulate that look with today's radial and also hard on the lower valance panel when you turn the wheel all the way.

In think you are right on Jim, it would be toward the end of the Gas class. Our MG ran B/G after M/SP ceased to exist then as C/A. That would be around 68 it was the last time the MG raced before I got it back.

I had posted this pic awhile ago, someone deleted it because he thinks it's a pro street car, when in fact we ran super gas, slicks, short open exhaust, wheelie bars, parachute and a tube axle. She was originally built in Texas. Buz Post won the 94' Super Gas class in Houston with Jeff Hefler driving. I bought it and completely went thru her and made her safe, funny car cage, fuel system and anything else that looked scary. The only thing I keep was the homemade drop axle. I had a Rehrer/Morrison Super 454 with a glide and 4:88 gears. We won several local meets at Maple Grove and then moved to Idaho. We put her in the Boise Roadster show in 2006 and won best comp car. Pics of that are still on the web from show on hotrod hot line, check them out. I did later convert it to pro street because the local track had their favorites, and I wasn't on that list! But the fact still remains, she was an original sixties gasser!!

  16. I love seeing all those 63 coupes turned into race cars! It pissed off the "purists". 63 seems to be the favorite year lately.

  17. but where did all the 63's go? ya cant tell me they all got restored?

  18. Sadly they ALL have been restored to , miraculously, numbers matching perfection.

This one has made a couple of laps around the HAMB. It first appeared in the Drag Cars in Motion thread in August of 2016 and then here in this thread almost 2 years ago (and I still do not know who it is)
