Technical Question on wood piece 38 Ford Convertible

    Anyone know if this is an original piece of wood that goes under the rear seat, bought the car years ago it was a basket case,any way finally getting to it and and what puzzles me if it is an origin piece with it bolted in place it spreads the center body mounts out to where its about an inch to wide for the hole to line up on the chassis ,, IMG_0743.JPG

    Yes, that is the rear seat cushion support piece. If I remember right there were 2 little dowels on either side to locate the seat spring.
    I made one from box tubing since mine was rotten.
