Technical Oil bath ID

    Have the oil bath from my 49 GMC. It had a 54 Chevy 235 in it when I got it. Can anyone tell me if I have a 49 or a 54 oil bath.
    Or would they be the same?
    Need to research value. See if it is worth my time to sell?

    a few seconds of googling makes it look to me like it's most likely the original GMC air cleaner. The chevy has a different cover shape

    That oil bath will keep your engine cleaner than a paper filter
