The story title says The verdict: It's a fake. It's just that, a verdict, same as someone claiming it to be real, who knows for sure without mfg documentation.
I too posted that article some time back, the odd part about this car is there never was a hint about the possibility of "such an animal" existing the whole time I belonged to the National Nostalgic Nova association NNN and by my memory that was nearly 15 years.
    Neat car either way!

  9. Well, I never looked it over to see if it had been altered, but it looked original to me.

^^ I love that photo. ^^ The car is very reminiscent of one a friend put
together from the retrieved drivetrain of his stolen '68 427 Camaro
    back in '68.

Now, if only someone in HAMB land would say they purchased a lime
green 62-64 sedan that had "Mephistopheles" painted between the
    wheelwells. (Chicago western suburb, '68-'69)

Persistence and luck pay off. I've been searching and asking for pics of this
car for years. A friend put it together after his '68 427 Camaro was stolen
    and the drivetrain retrieved.

Okay, LB, you made me smile, but I do realize that pic will have to go. It's a shame though,
this is a really nice car.
