Very cool! I have a 56 Dodge 270 Poly sitting on a cart in my shop. As someone said before, I always thought it would look sweet in an exposed engine car. Where did you get the adapter for the 700r4?

Any 1st-gen Hemi trans adapter works on this block so I used a readily-available Hemi-to-GM adapter.

Also, don't forget to check in with the legendary 73RR...he is in your area; Bend, OR. He built me this as a long block and shipped to me in Detroit via Fastenal. We are now fitting up the bits and pieces to run it on the stand. If I were located closer to Gary, I would have some cool engine projects going before he got around to the Restraining Order.

Good deal. Thanks guys. I'll keep them in mind if I end up dropping the 270 in something.

I only make the adapter for the Mopar units...no gm stuff around here.

These are Sanderson headers for a Dodge hemi, modified by Sanderson to accept poly flanges I sent them.

Don't make the same mistake I did and not specify a position for the header tubes. They stick way out from the block so far they don't the "block hugger" headers they started out as :(
