Front suspension swap and bagged. This is the same car I’ve seen some of your drooling over except it wasn’t parked on the ground. Lol 900 threads about lowering 40 fords and this one shows up low and y’all have a heart attack

Nice car but I prefer 40 Fords with the bumpers, front and rear.

  4. I have to agree, the bumper would add to the good looks. HRP

  6. Very, very nice - it’s a 40 Standard - I could not care if it’s slammed to the ground or in its stock ride height. Just a beautiful design ...... love the color!

This car is near perfect...no biggie if bagged, thats the great part about bagging a car, adjust height to suit your taste....bumpers would look great....man, luv this car.

    More pictures .....
Yes it was built going to be a Street Rod, then sold and the new owner decided to go back to traditional look we see here. It runs a new TCI frame with Mustang II front setup and 9" rear end, and yes it got air bags, I raise it up a inch or 1,5 and drive it that low without problem. Got a Flathead engine and a C4 automatic and it does keep up with the fast cars on the freeway IMG_8129.JPG

Question: What color do you guys think it got ?
    Dove Gray ? (ford)

BTW - the car was stolen and damage in the front when dragged up on a flatbed truck trying to get away quickly, the car was then later found and returned but they messed it up and I guess that was the end of the Street rod build and the beginning of the traditional look of the car .....

    Outstanding...Congrats

  12. Nailed my thoughts about it. Not a fan of V butted windshields, or bagged suspension. 40 Fords were built to have a hot rod rake. Now...that being said, it ain't my car, and you bought it with all that stuff already done to it, so have fun and don't worry about what guys like me think.
