When I was a boy my maternal grandparents bought a new 64 Buick Wildcat Hardtop. Chocolate Brown with bucket seats, console shift, 445 engine. Man was that thing gorgeous, big, comfortable and fast. This car reminds of it.

Check the jeep.... got me thinking.... Jeep probably has a shotgun in it, guy is going pheasant hunting after school.... I bet many of the H.S. kid's cars had gun in them... and no skoo shooting ever happened... isnt that interesting....

I still think that is Mrs. Potter and little Allison just prior to that wagon getting an Allison of it`s own...

Gig Stephens car from 1962 at Indianapolis. It missed the show. This car was originally a laydown engine car but was changed to an upright configuration by Harry Turner who bought the car after Tony Bettenhausen flipped it in 1959 on Pole Day. Someone told me that the engine from this car was stored under a bench in Turner's shop for many years and was for sale clear into the 1980s. There were reportedly no takers as old Offies weren't in much demand.
