    Oklahoma was dry until 1959 when the state ruined my little side business. Used to drive my 58 Chevy to Hartner Kansas, buy legal booze and bring it back to Alva. Those were the good old days.

    thanks for the history lesson guys! I knew there was dry towns, counties, etc. but, always thought prohibition was the 1930's and into the 40's.
    After Atwater Mike mentioned later dates, I did a little research and it looks like there were some hold out states even into the 60's. Who knew?? :confused:

    Way past the 60's I am afraid. I grew up in East Texas a lot of counties there were dry, and some still are to this day. Dallas both the city and county still have dry areas and in the city of Dallas there are still some dry precinct's today.

    Very kewl ride i have a 49 as well their is something about these early Olds suppose just saying it's a Rocket has a feel about it another good friend of mine has 49 fastback that's set up like Gene Adams did in the 50's racing at Santa Ana with a blown Olds mine is a cruiser the idle of dual exhaust on a 50's engine stock or hopped up is sweet as for yours just a clean well built Machine keep doing what your doing !!!!

    That’s correct however the 50 Olds only had turn signals up front at least this one did. So I installed a duel socket in place of the old ones and the warm amber bulbs. I like the look much better and are much more visible which may not be too good when hauling the juice!
