I just received a used SpeedGems SG56 from an EBAY auction and found that all but 3 of the tranny holes are stripped of threads. I`ve done this conversion probably 50 times but never used the SP adapter. Offy, Speedy, and Transdapt and others I have. The ebay guy is claiming that it never had threads and your to put a bolt and nut together to attach the trans. Again....3 of the holes are very much original. The stripped holes, He is claiming I am seeing just marks from the bolt threads and NOT pulled threads. Experts please.

I guess heli coils would work but he said the threads looked good and even 1 of the three starter holes is stripped. My question is did they come with threaded holes like all other adapters I`ve seen?

Thanks. I was able to send it back and since found a good one. You find a few bad sellers on ebay. I was not able to leave feedback for him so he`s still out there trying to scam others.
