The oak is cut and the animals slaughtered. Time again to set them ablaze for the Lonestar Roundup Kickoff BBQ. Meet us at the old Beyersville Hall outside of Taylor for an afternoon of gluttony and revelry. The finest Texas country, rockabilly and swing from Giddy Up Go! and The Honky Tonk Saints. Food service begins at high noon!

I spent many a Saturday night at Beyersville Hall when I was in high school. I grew up about 10 miles south of Beyersville on FM 619. The "Farelles" (sp?) were a popular band that played there in the late '60s. Wish I could make it up there this year, but the T-bucket isn't quite ready for a road trip.
