Just picked this up. I think it is a 1928 or 1929 Essex. I am missing the cowl and deck lid. I think I will have to make the deck lid. Maybe find and Essex cowl or modify a Model A cowl to fit.
Here is a 1929 Essex coupe with the same quarter panel reveal contour....the piano hinge attaches to the rear of the door opening, suicide style....
But it does look like a 1929 super six to me cowls should be easy to find nothing too special about them
Firewall looks different to me but just depends how picky you are. if your not doing a show-car resto i wouldn't worry about it. finding and clear essex title now thats hard! I had to buy a cowl to get a title for my 30 I built.
If you notice that front line on the cowl is def different from 1928 - 1929 or it may just be a different model.
Not too picky, just want it to fit. Thank you for the help. The parts I have are very solid. Also came with the original frame. Is there a vin on the frame or only the cowl?
I just used the silver plate on the firewall to get my title. Oklahoma is pretty lenient on getting a title though. getting a manufactured vehicle title is kind of pain.
IIRC, frame # is behind the rear frame kickup, on the dr side. Been awhile since I looked at mine. Marcus...
