@paintslinger805, I was snooping around and found another shot with Grandpa's Hotrod in it and thought you'd like to have it in your thread...Hope all is well and Hypersonic is giving you plenty of Good Hotrod Kharma

My apologies if its old news but I can look at these shots over and over and they never get old...;)

  19. A2C90BB7-1D00-455D-BF41-52E1EFC4986D.jpeg This is the third year of the rpm nationals. The greatest hotrod racing out there. We race in an airstrip that’s got to be about 1/2 mile long.

  20. 376AED04-7732-4B6C-82E5-5352EC382A48.png I won longest burn out! Was burning the tires every race. I need better tires. I won three races though the day. I was also sick as hell throwing up.

I don't see any email links to that webpage...But perhaps a name search by phone-book would get a verbal connection...Below is another link to a site with this former Hotrodder doing mountaineering but again no Contact info...

    http://www.traditionalmountaineering.org/Family_RLS_sm.htm

Now at the bottom of this link below you can type a message I believe to Robert who is at the helm of the Mountaineering website...

Of me and fellow Hamb member socaltex getting it on. This race was for 100 bucks. I won and told him to put the money into his gas tank since he drove from Arizona and I drove 20 minutes to the ranch. Good times..

Great reading and story. What a at journy.
I have to ask though: The rear axle is a bit too far forward compared to the wheel well? It doesnt quite match...or is it on purpose to match your grandfathers car?
(Oh and I took the liberty and did a small tveak in the lower pic and moved the wheels a bit back made them a thad larger. Sorry. Couldnt resist) :)

  25. Pretty sure that's how the wheel sits stock in the wheel well. With fenders, it's not as noticeable.
