lots of good comments--I usually run a 40 for a week or two to tune and looks for issues then the hood goes on.

For me, 32 and earlier can look good with or without a hood. Fenders, too. 33 and newer look awkward without. Hood sides may be deleted and may still look good, depends on the car.

  5. For me it depends on the style of the vehicle.
I just like my 23 Center Door hooded up and looking pretty and it's great when folks ask you what's under the hood"............ answer .....well I squeezed in a 302,!

As I did with my 37 Coupe, even thought it had a blower on the top of the 350, I liked it covered.

However with the 27 "T" Coupe and the 29 Tudor "A", I liked to show the lot.

I went with full hood, then went on hood and settled on hood top only, I liked that look the best and also in the back of my mind I'm thinking being fender less and driving in a hard rain this was the best way to go DSC02787.JPG

The wife runs her 28 roadster hoodless, and I ran my 40 Ford pick-em-up for years without a hood to show off the Tri-Power, but it had to sit outside and the wiring, electrical and plugs, took a beating from the sun.

I always get caught in the rain so I like a full hood.

Yes, It's a Chevy. I've run mine both ways over the years..........To me, the 32' grille shell on the 31' along with dropped headlight bar is more noticeable with hood on. I like both though.

I like both looks. Some cars just look better without hoods and some cars just look better with hoods.

I prefer a full hood as seen on my ex beater coupe but I only run a hood top on the Y Brock coupe because of the headers. I am thinking seriously about changing to under car exhaust and hood sides. Opinions? 1st coupe (42).jpg 1st coupe (19).JPG 20181202_165539.jpg

  28. It's fun to take the hoods off sometimes, just for a change. But I think they look better, when they're on. The Hemi just didn't fit with it though! lol;) Sorry, this was to be one post, but I'm all thumbs on my cell phone!
