  5. [IMG] Jimi was not really a car guy, but he did like his 1968 427 Corvette.
He had two, first one he crashed almost as soon as he left the lot because he wasn't wearing his glasses.
He had very bad vision without them. He went back and bought another 'Vette and wore his glasses when driving. 100% true!

Saw this posted earlier by Loudbang. It was my first Hotrod, built it in 65-65, in a barn. Model A frame, 40 Ford front axle, 53 -331 Cad and Hydro, 50 Olds rearend, Buick rear wheels. Junk by standards of today, but it got me started in the hobby/business. 2012-08-31 114836.jpg

Great detail! Hendrix did have a Stingray and the artist was careful to depict the Strat with the strings reversed because he was left handed!

    Guy's
Don't think that is a Case car. 1st of all Case only used Timken front and rear axles. The rear axles had large hubcaps when removed the axle shat could be removed as in full floating. The photo has small hubcaps not allowing the axles to be removed as the Case cars did. 2nd the rear fenders on Case cars were shaped as question marks. The fenders in the photo do not have that shape. 3rd the windshield does not have the shape and configuration of the Case cars from that period.
I speak with some knowledge as in our family presently has 6 pre 1915 Case cars in our collection. We have studied and restored Case cars since my father bought his 1st one a 1912 model 40 touring in 1960. In our collection includes a 1911. 2 1912's a 1913, and 2- 1914's, some restored and some needing restoration.

    just sayin'
