GREAT RIDE &thanks for sharing. I need something like that as it is the year of my birth. Best I could do is a 34 coupe
Last year I was actually considering building a 34 B Tudor and part of me is a little sad I didn't! Mine would not have anywhere near as nice or fast as yours for sure! Congratulations!
^ That's what the car was made for^. Awesome. Yes, I'm really awestruck, so the word actually applies.
Christ, Clem, that old tired thread is ALWAYS gonna be funny. I can't read a "barn find/survivor story ever again without wondering if due caution and care are taken during the cleansing after resurrection.
Thought you might be interested in a new head with higher compression that is being developed for the 4 cylinder. There are several posts here and on fordbarn. One of the posts on fordbarn is here: https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=261322 Go to the post and click on the person's name to find other posts. On HAMB go to https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/new-banger-block-in-the-works.616056/ and start with Post #499 Currently he is working on a cast iron head with about 6.1 to 1 that looks original on the outside. The 1932 guys are lucky because they can run Model A speed equipment and a 4 bolt Model A water pump. When this head is complete it will be the only high compression head I have seen that will take the '33-'34 3 bolt water pump which is shorter than the Model A or '32 pumps. Charlie Stephens
That will be neat but it has a V8 Flathead in it now. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
You have found and become the proud owner of one of Henry's most beautiful sedans !! The styling of these was over the top ! Congrats!
I had almost forgotten about my chopped black,'33tudor I sold 8 years ago until I saw this thread. Not really, I still regret it almost every day. What a find! There's nothing about the car, the circumstances, the journal, that is just not too frickin COOL! My hat's off to you! Have fun and just try to wipe that smile off your face. I dare you.
Go buy a lot of lotto tickets, all of your stars are aligned. There is no way you can lose. Great car, enjoy.
There's some Mighty Powerful Sexy Lines in That Machine...Henrys Draftsmanship was Rock Solid at that period in time...No Doubt about it...Congrats @Fire Fox
Never stops amazing me what’s still floating around out there . You did good , good luck and enjoy it . As others have said , you won the lottery if you know it or not .
Thanks for all the love on my new car. I’ve been driving it every chance I get and actually ran it out of gas already but my brothers from the fire department had my back. So when I bought it it had a pair of leather Mustang seats in the front, luckily he made some tracks that bolted right in the factory seat track holes so it wasn’t a problem to rip them out and put the OG’s back in today. I think I will put casters on the Mustang seats and use them for shop seats instead of tossing them. Here’s some updated interior pictures, still need a mat for the floor. As I was thumbing through this to catch up I saw the modern seats and thought you were switching to them! Thank goodness you were taking them out! Nice find on this car! Dave
that original Model 40 mohair is just the thing right there ! currently redoing the interior of my 34 2dr, but it will never be that nice. congratulations!
My best friend and his wife renewed their vows over the weekend and I drove it there, the photographer couldn’t resist getting some pictures. Sent from my iPhone using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
