Ford Prefect was the preferred way for hitchhikers to travel around the galaxy. And were those dashboards Bakelite?

Looks like a lot of work to me. I've drug lots of stuff that was in about the same condition home.
It will be a lot of work to get it home, so you can do a lot of work to make it resemble a car again, but its probably got a great price tag. Gene

So as it turns out the property changed hands over the years and the guy that owns it now was a neighbor when I was a kid 40ys ago. I asked him about the car and I can pic it up in the spring once things dry up. He will have a loader there to put on my trailer . Glad I went for a walk down there now

That's great of your neighbor, even if you're only able to salvage parts off of it, it's really great he's going to let you take it and help you get it out. Great ending to the story.

Yeah I was happy about that. Not sure what the bottom of it looks like but the part that intrested me the most was the windshield and roof.

I try to safe as much of these old things as I can, just hate to see it go to the scrap man. Even if all that gets saved is a tiny piece it's still worth it.

I wish our snow in the mountains would stick around longer.

Yea...I guess if you live in it, you don't want it around. We're lucky to get snow below 3000 ft. except the desert and low valley areas.

I can drive to the mountains for the snow. Or I can drive about 30 mins away. I just don't want to.

I wonder how this thing would look fully modified to look more like a 3/4 scale 3 or 5 window coupe. Would be a ton of work but might look pretty cool

Figured someone would have something to say about a 3/4 scale 3 or 5 window. Even to tell me how stupid I am to think of something like that

    That was funny!
By the way, that steering column, wheel and turn signal (trafficator) are the same as used on Austin Healeys.

Dash is quite a neat item in an early ford.

Super ultra quick-and-dirty. Not quite enough rear overhang to pull it off but not terrible. Might be better as a 3W without the quarter windows to give a bit more length to the tail.

Trunk shape needs work, looks kinda Vespa-ish. Not terrible though.

I think 3-4 inch section to take away from the real tall look. And maybe 33 Ford glass fenders

This is how it should be done, no photoshop, the real deal, only in Australia.
