Hot Rods Pecks RPU project

Mounted it all together today.

 

I got the rear bone brackets on today.

 

You through goofing off those parts don't put them self together !!

 

KingBee headlights, and 46-48 backing plates and drums, I scored at Canton Texas swapmeet.

 

Cleaned up the KingBee’s.

 

Had the drums turned , and then painted.

 

Drilled holes in the backing plates and blasted.

It’s all apart still.

 

I yanked this rear end out of a 63 F100 I bought when I was 14. The Texas and what was ZZ TOP was painted on in 79 with TESTORS model car paint, they had been a band for 10 years at the time. I was a freshman in high school.

 

I painted backing plates with RUSTOLIUM HAMMERED finish paint.

 

Went to Dallas Texas today and bought these 40 wheels.

 

Gittin it done! Kind of appropriate that Houston is the drain hole.

Looks like this will be a nice RPU. Have you thought about building longer 1/4,panels so you have a little more room in it. Kind of like the ones Last Refuge Hot Rod Builds.

Yes it looks like Bass shop.

 

Not gonna put extended quarters on it, I like the stock ones , probably want make it this year to PNP, but that is a BAD ASS SHOW. And the RATFINK pic was at Bass’s old shop, DELUXE BUILT resides there now.

 

I drilled the rear backing plates this morning.

 

The spring perches I started back earlier in the year , finally getting put to use. Wish I was a better welder.

 

LOL, don’t we all! Hard on the self-esteem when you measure your ability against @Bass, @Flop, and some of the other HAMB superheroes.

Like the drilled backing plates. Agree with the stock quarters - great look. It is a bit tight thou. 6’ dude w tiny doors.

 

If you want to come over after the round up we have 29 RPU at the shop come drive it Its a little tight the seat is as thin as we could get it and it on deuce rails so we had extra engine room
