Sorry for the delayed response very busy January. Yes the Sonny Willett Chevy was photographed by Steve Coonan and many of his friends and family were interviewed for an upcoming article in the Rodder Journal. Very cool watching Steve shoot the car!

  10. Sooo very cool! Looking forward to seeing and reading the article when it gets published and lands in my mailbox. You've done a remarkable job preserving a significant local area hot rod. Who owns the GTO in the photo? That looks to be a sweet ride as well.

Other cool news, Sonny’s 34 will be at this year’s Jalopyrama 27 of April.
    Thanks

It's great to see this one preserved and brought back. Some now would have left it as it was removed from storage but this si so much better.

I know the photo was a long way back but I couldn't help noticing the "beehive" style valve springs in the engine photo showing the adjustable rockers... Everything old is new again.

Received an email with instructions from Jalopyrama for placement of the Sonny Willett 34 Chevy in the show. Very much looking forward to showing Sonny’s car for the first time in over 50 years!

He was a PG County police officer and his name was Vince deCellier. He said he had something he would like send me, it was an original PG Kustoms corduroy club jacket. Very cool guy from the car club days

  20. I think Vince was their "sponsor" back then. Sort of a way to add some credibility to a bunch of hot-rodders.:)

Looks like a lot of the pictures disappeared. There was a picture of the car back in the day in front of a warehouse and people were trying to figure out where the building in the pic was. Now I can't find the pic.

By the way, did the car sell?

  26. ...........I think you're referring to the pictures that were taken at Lee Airport in Edgewater, Maryland and included in the coverage by the Rodder's Journal.

I think this is the picture you’re referring to??
I have a lot of interest in the car but nobody has stepped up to the plate yet, I’m really hoping to sell it to somebody who appreciates the history and will continue to preserve it.
    Thank you!

I was thinking of another pic that I thought might have been in Hyattsville.
I have fond childhood memories of the car and a new climate controlled garage to put it in but I'm sure it's worth more than I can spend right now.
