It's always great to see photo's from the past and it's very important for us to realize these guys really paved the way for the racing we have today.

@Kyle Armstrong, while I really dug dirt Late Models from that era, we are only allowed to post cars up to 1965 here on this board. Jimmies Old Time Racing would have been a great place for those, sure had a good time back then in the Mid-Ohio Valley. Think DTWC.

Quote from the first post of this thread.. "I know I'm only an FNG, but how about a thread with stock car photos from the beginning through, say, 1985 or so?"
I felt like these met the criteria of this thread perfectly. I sincerely apologize.

You're right that John posted that when he started the thread, but the board rules only allow cars through '65. Not my rules, but not my board either. There was an awesome Modified thread on here that the mods closed because people insisted on posting Gremlins and Pintos.

Dave Lape was such a Bob Witbeck fan he ran his car as the Flaming 22 in the mid 80's to his retirement about ten years ago.

  27. Specking of Dave Lape this is his 40 Cadillac bodied Modified.
The car had a Camaro body that was getting beat up, and a Chevy coupe body was to small for the cage built for the Camaro.

This Henry J raced in the St Louis area originally in the mid 60's restored in 2011. It was then raced in vintage races. The gal with the car is my fiancé, and she drove it for two seasons
