set up a student with a great job opportunity today
visited a former student that is now a Benz certified tech (he was prepping a viper for a supercharger:)
yesterday I interviewed with a major auto manufacturer about a teaching position.
and going to pick up a 62 chevy truck today(hopefully)

  4. Anthony - best wishes for the job prospect, your current students will miss you I'm sure.

  5. Not saying I’m leaving. But when a manufacturer, especially this one, asks you for an interview you have to do it
I’m not looking for a job but sometimes a self evaluation like this is healthy

Dropped my last parts off at the painter's shop on my '32 5 window project. All I have left here is chrome, stainless, aluminum and the main body. He has everything that gets paint.

  12. I hobbled out to the garage and worked a little more on the Buick brake and drum on small bearing 9" swap. Seems to fit together OK, next step is to get a centering ring for the drum to axle turned out. Hope my VA doc says my new knee is good enough to drive on pretty soon; never realized how much running around I do, 'till I couldn't.

PS slave cylinder on my '56 had a very slight leak at the seal and it was bugging me. Removed it last week and found the seals were not stock. Tried some from ABS ( guys advertise in Drive) and it was worse. Got out again waiting for some others I've found. Once up on the jack stands it takes me about 15 minutes to get it off. image.jpeg

  19. Hang onto it long enough and It'll be old one day.
Believe me. 12 years ago this month, the Queen and I bought a new SRT8 Dodge. This morning, I'm installing a new water pump on it. 225,000 miles. Faster than any documented musclecar from the day, but it lacks the soul of a hot rod. Shop full of my toys, I can't gripe when she wants something cool for herself. Next month or two, I'll sell it and start the whole purchase/depreciation process all over. Ugh..
    F Type this time.

  27. Steve. It has been very slow at my job, now have limited income. I would like to go to beaver of course , Mason is a fun track. I am trying to get the car ready for Drag Week as well. Will be going to some shows as well. Here are some pics of the cage and inside of the little Model A. Not as cramped as it looks, I am fairly comfy in there, LOL.
