    The first photo shows a group of somewhat different looking big cars. I'm not sure where the photo was taken but this style of car was prevalent in the old Mississippi Valley Racing Association right after WWII and into the early 1950s. Is there any information on this one, Rootie? Thanks for posting.

    The second photo is of Bill Taylor in the Rounds Rocket at Indianapolis in 1949. It was taken just south of the old Pagoda.

    I don't have any more info on the cars in the fist pic but I had them figured to have probably run the old post war "kerosene circuit" in the Midwest.
