Yeah , nerfs are easy to make..designing something that's aestheticaly pleasing to eye ..smart to leave the brackets behind the pan.you know that's an idea....a rolled pan that unbolts with heavy gauge behind it..mmmm

image.jpeg ...have original rear bumper..I was surprised..it's kinda light weight....figured it would weigh a ton....no pic of bumper yet..here's another shot of the back...Photo shop rolled pan would be great..thanks in advance...and..also move taillights down 6 inches.....

Though Moose did all the heavy lifting, I tried to do what I could to lower the taillights.

Here are four variations, though the last one (with bumper and skirts) is my personal favorite. 1951%20Chrysler%20Photoshop%20(no%20bumper%20or%20skirts).jpeg 1951%20Chrysler%20Photoshop%20(with%20skirts%20no%20bumper).jpeg 1951%20Chrysler%20Photoshop%20(no%20skirts).jpeg 1951%20Chrysler%20Photoshop%20(with%20skirts).jpeg

I like the bumper too but I think the photoshop is fooling you. I think it would be sticking out a lot farther in real life.

Quite likely...though it could be narrowed and tucked to achieve that look, if necessary.

got this notion in my head to find a 62 buick 4 door in good running condition and do a chassis floor swap..the wheelbase is just about the same as the 51 .........want a nailhead , thats what ive always wanted to have as a drivetrain, well see what the hot rod gods have in store for this build..weather is getting warmer here ...

Not much to update on the 51 , appreciate all the comments and photoshop , ok..so the coupe has factory radio and I want to eliminate that for sure..I usually dechrome the dash on my builds...not sure on the 51. I like the juke box styling...so I picked up a radio delete plate... image.jpeg image.jpeg I'll see how everything polishes up ....more to come image.jpeg

These I believe we're the first padded dash boards. I also am thinking of eliminating this because underneath is the steel dash...weld up some holes etc..ill see when I get the pad unbolted...the air /heater controller I'll eliminate and bend up some metal to continue the curved section to the gauge cluster....

Chassis Engineering uppers, some rectangular rubber block motor mounts (vibration dampers?) & fabbed the lowers. Except for loosing the heater it looks like it belongs in there. Did the same on a '48 plym except used doughnut/biscuit rubbers on it

The steering wheel is off a 50 Dodge. Was cut off just below the base , horn mechanism works great. Fits on the 51..a bolt on...Its available if any one can use it. No cracks if I remember.
