Bert Grimm's Tattoo Parlor is on Chestnut St. and Owen Jensen's was near the racer. Both are clearly shown in the picture.

 

Probably had to clear an overpass or two while in transit.

 

I loved the Pike, went there a lot when I lived in so-cal in the early 60's.
I have an original un-used ride ticket book, so I'm ready if it ever opens up again.

I lived in Anaheim. We used to get a wild hair once in awhile too and go to the pike. It was a raunchy but cool place with a huge rollercoaster on a rickety old wood frame.
The other poster mentioned signal hill. Isn't that where Mickey Thompson's shop was?
BTW, my first experience on bumper cars was at the Pike
