Hi Guys, I'm John, I collect antique cars parts, mostly pre-war, I came across 2 parts I can't identify, anyone here coud help me identify these

first one is a Ford porcelain badge, it's red but with a hinge, I think it's from 1930's but no sure with the hinge maybe from a trunk, size is 2,44 inches x 1,57 inches( 62mm x 40mm )

second one is a steering wheel with 3 aluminum spokes, wheel in wood and horn insert in bakelite
size is 15,74 inches ( 40 cm ) maybe it's european but not sure

    here are the pictures
    thanks

  2. Pretty sure red Ford badge is British mid 1930s but never seen one with a hinge. Maybe to cover a keyhole for the spare tyre lock. BTW, welcome to the H.A.M.B.

  4. Red badge looks like something that was used on a Anglia, as for the steering wheel I believe it to be something used in the UK. HRP

The wheel with aluminum center screwed to the rim is made exactly the same way as the wheel on a British 1932 Ford.
It isn't one of those, but likely from same supplier. It could of course still be Ford, from the small series.

    I'm 99 % sure I found it, 1930-1932 Opel

I found another one on ebay with the same mounting holes at the same place, with the brand opel mark on it, mine has a mettallic part at the same place, I'll try tomorrow to carefully remove it to see if there is a magic inscription under it with serial number

ah those are great too, the toys were made in France in 1925-1928 by CIJ under the licence of Citroen, most of the in 1:10 scale tin toy, with open door, working steering wheel and direction, clock mechanism with brake, electric headlights, some with swinging seats and one with real fabric top
