I'm struggling with radiator height and trying to avoid mounting it in front of the crossmember. We're talking Model A style with a Small Block Chevy. Speedway has one listed as 20"-21" overall height. Anyone know of anything shorter? I know there are lots of threads on this, I've looked at a bunch of them. Just wondering if there's any new info in Hamb land.

Check for industrial type radiators. Some of them for forklifts, tractors etc come in some odd sizes. Most radiator shops have catalogs where the radiators are listed by dimensions.

Check with these guys. They sell radiators on Ebay but also build radiators to what ever specs you need within reason. They aren't the cheapest by a long shot but aren't the most expensive either.

I used a model T radiator I scored at a swap meet for $50.00 in my 4" chanelled A. Width was just right for my original grill shell, just had to notch my spring cross member for lower hose outlet.

You might look at sprint car or midget radiators.

I had the same problem but at least left some space to drop the radiator behind crossmember.
But i have both channel and a z on my frame.
But i find a alu one for a Datsun fairlady that was small enough and supposed to handle 350 hp.
Should be enough for my stock 55 Dodge engine.
To find mine i was looking on ebay searching radiator and scrolling and looking on
dimensions until i found one thats work.

Speedway Lo-boy 32 radiator was the shortest I could find a year or so back when I was looking for my channeled T. Lots of cheaper no name aluminum radiators all over ebay, but all were taller. Looked a bit at forklift and tractor applications but nothing that seemed worth the effort to make them work. I talked to local radiator shop about making one. Was going to use Model A tanks (was using Model a grill shell) and use a shorter core. Also would need to move around the hose fittings. He could make whatever i wanted, but was going to cost a lot more.
